On September 25, 2021, my life was completely upended by my second major concussion. Years later, I am still actively recovering from the profound, invisible impacts of this silent injury.
Before my accident, I spent my career working in professional administration. I spent my days organizing schedules, managing data systems, and streamlining logistics. Yet, even with my extensive corporate administrative background, navigating my own recovery process became an impossible nightmare. The exact task required to get well—resting my brain in a dark room—was completely at odds with the endless screen time and cognitive focus required to manage medical clinic calendars, return complex phone calls, and track out-of-pocket receipts for insurance companies.
Because of the overwhelming digital strain, my own recovery was heavily delayed. I experienced firsthand how slipping through the administrative cracks stalls your physical healing. I founded My Recovery Assistant (MyRA) because no one should have to choose between feeding themselves and protecting their brain. We step in to be the screen filter I desperately needed back in 2021, taking on the logistical friction so your loved one can safely step into the quiet and heal.
