A concussion or serious injury is completely invisible. Because there is no cast or bandage, the world expects your loved one to function normally. But on the inside, they are fighting an overwhelming battle. Often, survivors suffer in silence because they don't want to be a burden or ask for help. They withdraw, trying to push through the brain fog alone, which only delays their healing.
To get well, a recovering brain requires absolute rest. Yet, the essential, mundane tasks required to survive—ordering groceries on an app, coordinating medical schedules, and managing phone calls—have unfortunately become nearly impossible for an injured mind to navigate. The exact digital tools meant to help us now require a level of screen time and cognitive processing that causes intense sensory overload.
As an injury survivor myself, I understand this exhausting paradox. I founded My Recovery Assistant (MyRA) to step in before the silence and frustration take over. We take care of those overwhelming daily logistics so your loved one doesn't have to choose between eating well and resting their brain.
Dignity in Food Delivery: We securely log into their existing grocery accounts (like Real Canadian Superstore) to handle the complex screens and coordinate their food delivery, keeping them independent.
Custom Calendar & Proactive Reminders: We manage the complex puzzle of scheduling medical follow-ups. We build a personalized, clutter-free calendar for your loved one and deliver gentle, direct phone or text reminders to ensure they get to their care without the cognitive strain.
Financial & Receipt Organization: Keeping track of therapy invoices, medication costs, and daily expenses is overwhelming. We securely collect and organize all receipts and expenditure lists, creating clean records for your accountants, tax forms, or personal injury lawyers.
A Safe, Low-Stimulation Connection: Every client speaks directly with me. I provide a calm, empathetic ear because I have been exactly where they are. To protect my own cognitive health and scale the business, I use vetted backend digital assistants to execute the online screen work.
Under Alberta’s Care-First auto insurance system and WCB guidelines, getting your out-of-pocket costs reimbursed requires strict, continuous proof. If a receipt is lost, or an expense list is unsubmitted, the insurance adjuster will simply deny coverage. Expecting a recovering brain to manage a monthly cycle of digital receipt filing is a recipe for missed funding.
We operate as your designated Rehabilitation Support Aides. We continuously compile, organize, and format all expenditure lists into clean, audited packages for your insurance adjuster or lawyer, protecting your direct funding.
Rate: $40 per hour (Billed in predictable, pre-paid monthly bundles).
Third-Party Funding: Our invoices are itemized and designed to be submitted directly to Auto Insurance Claims Adjusters or WCB Case Managers as a necessary part of a rehabilitation and recovery plan.
